Re-Assembly
Re-assembly of the TIMBERWISE sidewalls is best done by two people and usually requires less than 30 minutes. The process involves mating numbered posts to dowels on the base; sliding tongue-in-groove sidewall pieces into position; lowering the lid assembly onto the unit; and tapping in locking dowels to secure all the components. A small hammer is the only tool required.
Detailed assembly instructions are shipped with each casket.
TIMBERWISE is designed to accommodate and reduce the tendencies of soft woods to warp or crack with changes in moisture levels. To maximize this benefit, I recommend that TIMBERWISE be re-assembled soon after its arrival and stored in a climate-controlled environment. Still, if minor cracks appear, they will not affect the overall strength and performance of the casket.
TIMBERWISE is shipped with the base (including handles) and lid completely assembled. It remains important to follow re-assembly instructions carefully but you can be assured that the load-bearing base will arrive already intact and fully capable of carrying the recommended weight.
